I found this recipe on all recipes.com and made it for a gathering at our farm. Such a hit and darn good.
1/3 cup butter, softened
¼ c sugar (I use splenda)
1 ¼ cup milk
1 ½ cup flour
1 (3.4 oz) pkg instant vanilla pudding mix
1 TBSP baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
½ cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg.
Combine flour, dry pudding mix, baking powder and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk. Beat until blended. Stir in walnuts.
Place in a prepared 13×9 pan.
Mix topping ingredients together and sprinkle on top of cake.
Bake 375 for about 30 minutes; check with tooth pick.
