Ingredients
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon
- 6 ounces of molasses (about half a jar of Grandma’s Molasses)
- Cookie frosting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Use a mixer to gently combine the flour and cinnamon, then slowly pour in the molasses while the mixer is running. (You can add a little more molasses to moisten the dough if you wish.)
- The dough will be sticky! Flour a cutting board and rolling pin, then roll out and shape the dough into a large square (about 1/4 inch thick). Cut the dough into small, bite-sized shapes.
- Place the cookies on a non-stick baking sheet, and put in the oven for 12 minutes. When done, let them cool and then frost them with cookie frosting.
- Let the cookies and icing harden for at least 4 hours before stacking them.
