This was my mother’s favorite holiday cookie!
Ingredients:
1 c shortening
1 c peanut butter
1 c packed brown sugar
1 c white sugar
-Cream these 4 ingredients
Add:
2 eggs
1/4 c milk
2 tsp vanilla
-Mix until smooth
Add:
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 c flour
-Mix well
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F.
Form mixture into balls and roll in sugar. Place on baking sheets 2″ apart.
Bake 10-12 minutes in preheated oven.
Remove from oven and immediately place a chocolate kiss or chocolate star in center of each cookie. Then remove cookies from the pan and allow to cool completely.
